Make Delicious Chilaquiles at Home!

The Chilaquile Recipe is actually one of the most simplest (and versatile) dishes you can make at home!

There are two main ways of making Chilaquiles, and that’s with:

  1. Red Sauce

  2. Green Sauce

It really ultimately depends what you choose to add to this recipe, but those are the main two traditional styles.

Here’s what you’ll need for Red Sauce Chilaquiles:

Remember you don’t have to follow the recipe to perfection, you can always remove and add ingredients to your personal style!

Directions:

  1. Into a bowl, add your Flour, Arts N’ Blends Southwest Dip Mix, Arts N’ Blends Roasted Garlic Oil Dipper, Cumin, Oregano, Salt, and Cinnamon. Place the bowl near the stove with the tomato paste and broth.

  2. Make sure to keep an eye here. Medium heat on a large skillet, warm the oil. You’ll know your oil is ready when you sprinkle a small, tiny pinch of flour or spice mix sizzles on contact with the oil. It’s possible it might take you a few minutes to heat it up.

  3. Once you’re ready, pour in your flour and spice mix. Whisk it constantly while it cooks up until there is a fragrance and a slightly deepened color; this can take about 1 minute. Now, whisk the tomato paste slowly, and then add in your vegetable broth while also whisking to avoid lumpy parts.

  4. Now, raise the heat to medium-high to bring the mix into a simmer. At the simmer gradually reduce the heat necessary to lead it into a gentle simmer. Whisk constantly while cooking for 5-7 minutes, you’re done once your sauce is thicker, and you feel resistance as you stir.

  5. Finally, reduce the heat to the lowest possible setting, and whisk in the cilantro and vinegar. Add in your desired salt amount (to your liking 2 or 3 pinches of salt is the recommended amount).

  6. Ready to serve and enjoy!
